Animal Deposit Policies
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE. Deposit money is credited to the total cost of the baby, balance is due before shipping or at pickup. If you choose to move your deposit to another animal you will lose 50% of your deposit. Once an animal is ready to go, you have 7 days to schedule shipping or make arrangements to pickup the animal. A $5-$15 per day fee will be added onto the price for any animal not picked up or scheduled to ship after 7 days of being ready to go.
Picking up animals/ Visiting the Ranch
Once you place a deposit you can schedule for your baby pickup at our facility in Kingsbury, Texas. We encourage pickups if possible to learn about your new animal in person. All visits and pickups at the ranch are by appointment. Set up an appointment today on the Contact Us page.

When purchasing a live animal from us we offer airline shipping for a fee for clients who live out of state or too far away to travel to pickup your baby.
Shipping for live animals is done through the airlines or by hand delivery only. Pickup is available at our facility in Kingsbury at no charge.
-Animal is personally delivered to a designated destination or even to your front door
-Animal is accompanied and tended to for the duration of the transport
- Cost is determined by distance, time and animal(s) transported. Price range varies depending on distance $50 for a short 30 mile trip to $1500+ for a delivery to New York area
Health Warranty, Effective 1/1/2017
We guarantee any animal sold is in good health and free from internal or external parasites, illness or disease at the time of sale. All animals are sold with a 1 year congenital defect warranty, hedgehogs are covered for Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome for life. If the animal is found to have parasites, illness or disease at the time of sale the owners must have the animal examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours to record and document. If it is determined by the vet that the animal was sold in ill condition the buyer can request a refund for medications administered, not to exceed the cost of the animal. Janda Exotics reserves the right to exchange the animal to minimize monetary damages. Injury, aspiration in bottle feeding animals, undesired temperament are NOT covered. If an animal dies due to parasite, illness or disease that it had at the time of sale the animal will be replaced. For claims over $500 a necropsy will be required to determine cause of death. All claims must be accompanied by vet reports, claims will not be considered if the animal was not treated by a vet. Any injury, aspiration, undesired temperament and medical conditions developed after time of sale are NOT covered. Shipping fees are not refundable. No refunds will be issued, exchange or replace only.
100% of donations, monetary and tangible are used for the care of our animals. We can accept new or gently used blankets, fresh fruit, any cleaning/sanitation supplies, bales of hay or straw, dog food, cat food and other animal supplies.
