Feeding your sugar glider live insects will get their attention and introduce their natural instinct to feed on smaller prey. In the wild sugar gliders get most of their nutrients from small insects such as grasshoppers, crickets, meal worms, and earth worms. These insects are a great source of protein but should only be used as treats as they contain a high amount of fat content. You can feed them live insects in a small dish to avoid them crawling out and be cautious not to collect insects from outdoors where they could have been contaminated with pesticides.
