I have always, since I was around 10, wanted a sugar glider. I saw one and have wanted one ever since. I knew I couldn't responsibly handle one as a teen or even a young adult, or when I had babies, but now that I'm an established adult and my youngest child is getting older I'm rethinking it. This brought me to Janda - where I discovered hand-raised flying squirrels! I think that a flying squirrel would probably be the best match for me. What is it like having one in the house with young(er) children? My children are all school-aged (well, if you count K4). No one in cribs or diapers and past the stuffing things in your mouth phase. But also not to the "responsible enough to help with care" phase. Is this something I can consider or should I put my dreams on hold for a few more years?
