    Bonding with older flying squirrels.

    Good morning,

I have recently found a person looking to rehome 2 male flying squirrels who will be 8 months old when they would arrive to me. My concern is the ability to bond with them due to their age.

Has anyone had experience with bonding to older squirrels? Or would it be better to wait and find a younger pair.

Thank you all for your time today.

    Jeff

Hi Jeff, do you know if the flyers have been handled already? If they have been handled you have a better chance at bonding with them but if they are not hand raised or wild then I would say you will have a very hard time bonding with them.

I personally adopted 2 Male Southwestern Flying squirrels. I am going to be honest they bonded way faster than I thought they would. Approximately two weeks and they would eat from my hand, always want to be with me, and respond to me whenever I am near.
